Habe gestern einen dieser dämlichen Kettenbriefe bekommen, die einem - würde jeder sie tatsächlich weiterschicken - nicht nur regelmäßig die mailbox verstopfen, sondern auch wertvolle Arbeitszeit stehlen.
Glücklicherweise scheinen mich meine Freunde so gut zu kennen, dass sie ahnen, zu welchem Zeitpunkt ich mich über wirklich jedes Hilfsmittel zur Prokrastination freuen würde.
Um aber nicht wieder 15 oder 150 spam-artige mails weiterzusenden, erfolgt die Antwort eben hier. Auf geht's!

Welcome to the 2007 edition of Getting to Know Your Friends. What you are supposed to do is copy (not forward) this entire e-mail and paste it onto a new e-mail that you'll send. Change all the answers so they apply to you, and then send this to your friends including the person who sent it to you.
The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends, that you might not have known

1. What time did you get up this morning?
well. the first alarm clock rang at 8.10. And again 8.15, 8.20 etc. By the time my second alarm clock started buzzing it was 8.45. I think I got up shortly after the 9.00 radio news...

2. Diamonds or pearls?
Ha! Definitely Pearls. On the other hand, if anybody feels compelled to give me diamonds, I am sure I would wear them. Feel free to try!

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
The Queen. I think.

4. What is your favorite TV show?
Difficult. Right now "House", probably.

5. What do you usually have for breakfast?
4 Tablespoons of plain rolled oats, with some raisins, nuts and cinnamon, fresh fruit of my choice, and half a cup of skim milk. In winter I might blitz it in the microwave. Sometimes I also manage a cup of Earl Grey tea with milk.

7. What is your middle name?
I have two middle names. Just in case. One is my grandmother (father's side), one my mother's sister who died shortly before I was born.

8. What food do you dislike?
Okra. Natto beans. Not too crazy about most cheeses either.

9. What is your favorite CD at the moment?
I don't think I ever had one. But I am listening to Carla Bruni a lot lately.

10. What kind of car do you drive?
I ride my bicycle. Sometimes friends let me drive their car.

11. Favorite sandwich? I
Grilled ciabatta with portobello mushroom and feta. Or red pesto with smoked trout. Or honey mustard with lean ham. Name it. I like food.

12. What characteristic do you despise?
Illoyality

13. Favorite item of clothing?
that varies. right now I love this very green cotton v-neck sweater.

14. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
I agree with the friend who sent this questionnaire to me. Although I'd like to add, I would take a boat to St Petersburg. For the rest, I quote "To St. Petersburg, from there to Moscow by train and then taking the Transsiberian to Beijing". Let's go together! We can pack lots of books so that we don't have to talk to each other all the time. And maybe, if there is time, move on to Shanghai and Japan?

5.What color is your bathroom?
white. there is some wood panelling (not my doing) and a very ugly linoleum floor.

16. Favorite brand of clothing?
don't know. can't afford brands. Make my own stuff.

17. Where would you retire to?
to my home and family. wouldn't they just hate me for that? :-)

18. What was your most recent memorable birthday?
the last one, which was among the best birthdays ever.

19. Favorite sport to watch?
I don't watch sport. But gymnastics is fascinating, if only for their body control. Not enough to watch it though.

was quite shaken in the morning, but stable now.

At the moment I am rather salty - salted almonds. wasabi peas. If it has to be sweet: I cannot resist dry cookies with chocolate coating. Dark chocolate.

Never know flowers by name. Anything bright, plain and good-smelling.

As in: can't wait, count the days? wouldn't know.

My friends do know.

My colleague typing (and thus shaming me. I am sure he actually works...)

they are all alike. But thursdays are usually bad.

six, if I only count more than three months

yes. It's much more difficult to keep them though, but I give my best.
